    Shred Days hosted by CorePlus

    CorePlus Federal Credit Union has announced three free Shred Days in eastern Connecticut during May to help protect residents from identity theft.

    People may bring personal documents, financial records, credit card statements, insurance forms, canceled checks, bank statements and tax preparation worksheets to be shredded.

    The Shred Days, to be conducted in conjunction with the firm Infoshred, will run from 9 a.m. to noon at CorePlus sites. Dates are May 2 in Taftville, May 16 at the Brooklyn Walmart Supercenter and May 30 in Waterford.

    No more than three boxes of household personal papers are allowed. No business paperwork will be accepted.
