Sweeten up your holiday at The Knick

For just a moment, forget Black Friday and riotous mall stampedes and the gluttonous thirst for a bargain — any bargain! It could be argued that the true holiday season starts at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday — Thanksgiving Eve — in a far more resonant context at the Knickerbocker Cafe in Westerly. That’s when the immensely popular local band Sugar, along with special guest Will Evans, will host an evening of music, dancing, fun, and sharing. Simply bring two nonperishable or canned goods and receive two dollars off the $10 cover. Bring 10 canned goods or nonperishable food items and get two bucks off PLUS a free Sugar T-shirt! All donations benefit the Westerly WARM Shelter and Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. It’s hard to imagine a more musically infectious or generous way to kick off a long and celebratory season.
