    Audubon Society begins spring lecture series

    The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center will begin its 2016 spring lecture series on Thursday, May 12, with a discussion about the importance of preserving the biodiversity of watershed forests and wetlands. Dr. Robert Askins, Katharine Blunt professor of biology at Connecticut College, will present “The Connecticut River Watershed: The Role of Our Forests” at 4:30 p.m. at Old Lyme Town Hall.

    Two more lectures in this series will take place on May 12 and June 2.
