Shoreline Acoustic Music Festival takes place Saturday in New London

What's that sound you won't hear blasting out of the Hygienic Art Park on Saturday?

Why, stacks of Marshall amplifiers regurgitating the ear-deliquescing volume of electric guitars!

Instead, the 11th annual Acoustic Music Festival, sponsored by and nuanced by the Shoreline Acoustic Music Society (SAMS), will take place starting at 5:45 p.m. when Roger Viens takes the stage. Also on the bill are Baird and Friends (6 p.m.), Jim Lampos (6:20 p.m.), Howling Hounds (6:40 p.m.), Sherwood (7 p.m.), Gaetano (7:20 p.m.), Mike Bailey (7:40 p.m.), Geoff Kaufman (8 p.m.), Bruce McDermott (8:20 p.m.), The Carolans (8:40 p.m.) — and an en masse finale to close the free show.
