Delish dishes at Taste of Mystic

Eat to your heart's content! Olde Mistick Village becomes a happy buffet this weekend, when an array of local restaurants whip up tempting cuisine for the Taste of Mystic. A sampling of those ambrosial dishes: lobster and arugula with fennel; garlic parmesan truffle fries; BBQ'd pulled pork with slaw and cornbread; duck rolls; and salted caramel cupcakes.

    Is your mouth watering yet?

Participating restaurants include Vue 24 at Foxwoods, The Bayou Smoke House in Groton, Thai Jasmine of East Haven, Octagon Steakhouse in Groton, and Go Fish Restaurant in Mystic.

Visitors can enjoy a little music while they dine, too, with Jay Dempsey Band and Jeremiah Hazed on Friday; Andre/Eddie & Friends, Pirates for Peace, Sue Menhart Band, Bronze Radio Return, and Steve Elci & Friends on Saturday; and Sugar Pop on Sunday.

Part of the event's proceeds will benefit the Mystic YMCA and Mystic Aquarium.
