Moving steadily away from fossil-fuel age

I saw a program, "Green Tyranny," that informed about what our world’s fossil-fuel based economy makes possible. It spoke of how, in many places, where there are water and food shortages, fossil-fuel burning trucks, ships and planes deliver life-sustaining necessities. Without them, relief may not have been possible. I agree, this is a good thing, but only a microscopic piece to the puzzle.

It’s like politics, the right won’t agree with the left. Green enthusiasts believe that fossil fuel supporters' opinions are taboo and vice versa. Whatever happened to compromise? It’s common knowledge that fossil fuels that took millions of years to create have been largely decimated in just 200 years and before long they’ll be exhausted.

A change from fossil to renewable fuels that create energy is the way of the future. It’s already happening with more solar panels, windmills and biofuels making their way into everyday life. Massive change is not easy, but if we could work together it would be a smoother journey and technologies will improve with internal combustion, wind and the harnessing the sun’s energy that will make our planet a cleaner and healthier place.
