Avery Point routs Dean

Stonington's Doug Domnarski scattered three hits over seven innings with five strikeouts, two walks and an earned run as the UConn-Avery Point baseball team routed Dean Junior College 11-3 on Monday at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

Groton's Izzy Davila had four hits, four RBI and scored a run for the Pointers (8-5) while Nick Landell had three hits, two RBI and a run. Also, Garrett DeLotto and Andrew Hinckley each had two hits and two runs.

Dean is 6-5.

Avery Point's game against the Mitchell College junior varisty today has been postponed indefinitely.
