Rocco wins race, title at Speedbowl

Keith Rocco wrapped up his fifth SK Modifieds title at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl in style.

The Berlin driver won Saturday night's series finale as the Speedbowl completed its regular season. Rocco, who has won three straight SK titles, took the lead on lap 4 of the 35-lap race and held on. Ted Christopher finished second, Joey Gada of Salem was third, Diego Monahan of Quaker Hill was fourth and Zach Sylvester finished fifth.

Other race winners included Al Stone III (Limited Sportsman), Groton's Bruce Thomas Jr. (Late Models), Josh Galvin of Oakdale (SK Light Modifieds), Sean Caron (Mini Stocks), Dana Dimatteo (Legends) and Rodger Turbush (New England Truck Series).
