    Free dental clinic to take place Oct. 10-11 in East Lyme

    East Lyme — The Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach in collaboration with the Connecticut State Dental Association announced the inaugural Connecticut Mission of Mercy Mini MOM Free Dental Clinic will be held Oct. 10-11, at East Lyme High School at 30 Chesterfield Road.

    This miniclinic is for the underserved and uninsured who live in the southeast area of Connecticut.

    The clinic will provide dental services including cleanings, extractions, fillings, fluoride treatments and X-rays. 

    The event will feature 30 dental chairs and more than 600 volunteers.

    Doors open at 6 a.m. on both days, and up to 400 patients will be seen per day on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Established in 2008, the Connecticut Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic has treated 15,243 patients and provided $9,336,102 in free dental services to patients.

    Past clinics were held in Tolland, New Haven, Middletown, Waterbury, Danbury, Bridgeport, Hartford and Danbury.
