Fundraiser to help buy gifts for children fighting cancer
A Stand up to Childhood Cancer fundraiser to benefit Madeline Guarraia, an 9-year-old East Lyme resident battling cancer, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, at The Meadows in Stonington.
Tickets cost $50 per person and can be purchased by emailing krou7@sbcglobal.net.
Madeline wants to “pay it forward” by helping other children who have similar challenges. She plans to use the money raised at the Stand up to Childhood Cancer to buy toys and gifts for children at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Staff from Gourmet Galley Catering will be volunteering their time to work the event. The fundraiser is hosted by Kim Rouisse of Waterford.
The event will feature a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.
