Connecticut Tigers to celebrate Leap Day, Pi Day with discounts and birthday specials

Norwich — The Connecticut Tigers will celebrate Leap Day Feb. 29 and Pi Day March 14 with special discount ticket offers for fans and perks for anyone with birthdays on those days.

Since Leap Year comes once every four years, on Monday, Feb. 29, the Tigers will offer all ticket vouchers for the 2016 regular season games — reserved or premium seats — for $4 when purchased in person at the Dodd Stadium box office, over the phone, or online at cttigers.com between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

In addition, any person with a Leap Year birthday on Feb. 29 who stops by the Dodd Stadium box office during this promotion will receive a certificate for the right to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the Tigers game on Wednesday, June 29, against the Lowell Spinners.

Monday, March 14, will see the return of the popular Tigers’ Pi Day promotion, featuring $3.14 tickets and food vouchers for Opening Night, June 22, if purchased in person, by phone or online between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

(Pi is a value typically represented as 3.14, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.)

Any person born on March 14 who stops at the Dodd Stadium box office during the promotion will receive a certificate for the right to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the game on Sunday, Aug. 14, against the Hudson Valley Renegades.
