A Green Mass will be celebrated at Saint Patrick's Cathedral
Norwich -- The second annual Green Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. March 6 at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Norwich.
The Mass, which honors the Irish heritage of the community and celebrates the larger relationship of the Irish with the church, is hosted by the Hartford and New London Divisions of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
A reception with coffee, tea, soda bread and snacks will follow the Mass in the church basement. It is free and open to the public.
After the reception, Norwich holds its St. Patrick's Day parade at 1 p.m.
