Waterford resident featured in CPTV series

The public television series "Global Health Frontiers" shifts its focus from stories primarily filmed in Asia, Africa and Latin America to the backyards of Connecticut for the series’ only feature to date based in the United States: a segment about Lyme disease airing at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 9 on Connecticut Public Television.

The episode also will air at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, on CPTV Sports and 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, on CPTV4U.

In a segment of the episode airing Oct. 9 titled “The Trouble with Ticks,” wildlife sleuths from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, White Buffalo Inc. and other agencies work to unravel the explosive spread of Lyme disease, supported by interviews with Danbury Hospital's Dr. Paul Nee and Connecticut residents living with Lyme disease, including Robin Curran of Waterford.
