Montville — A Bridgeport woman was arrested last month after she was connected to an inmate that had swallowed seven balloons containing marijuana.

According to a police affidavit, Cecile Hunte, 28, an inmate at Radgowski Correctional Facility, was found to have seven balloons containing around four ounces of marijuana on Sept. 17.

Hunte said he had been having money problems and solicited an acquaintance to bring him the marijuana so he could sell it in prison.

Based on Hunte's statements and video evidence from a recent visitation, police arrested Jebbeh Edison, 25, of 844 Noble Ave., Bridgeport, on Nov. 1 and charged her with illegal sale of narcotics or hallucinogens and conveying unauthorized items into a prison.

Hunte was charged with possession of a controlled substance and conveying unauthorized items in a prison.
