East Lyme boards to hold joint meeting to review school proposal

East Lyme — A joint meeting of the education, selectmen and finance boards will be held Wednesday to review a draft proposal to upgrade the town's three elementary schools.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Lillie B. Haynes School.

The Board of Education also is expected to hear an update on the project at its meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at East Lyme High School, according to the meeting's agenda.

The East Lyme Public Schools Elementary Facilities Design Steering Committee has been working on a proposal to upgrade all three of the town's elementary schools, now that revised projections from the New England School Development Council show the district's elementary school enrollment will increase.
