Kyle C. Smith and Sean K. McCaslin of New London exchanged marriage vows on Sept. 24, 2016, at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford. Justice of the Peace Robin Maillett officiated.

Best men were Doug Smith of Chicago, Ill., Joe Craven of New York City. Groomsmen were Mark Patrizzi of East Windsor, Rich Tomlinson of Ansonia, Ted Pappagallo of Worcester, Mass., and Wilson Bynum of New London.

Mr. Smith is the son of the late Pauline (Sullivan) and Dwight Smith. Mr. McCaslin is the son of Susan (Conboy) McCaslin of Waterford and the late Edwin K. “Skip” McCaslin Jr.

A 1984 graduate of Nashua (New Hampshire) Senior High School, Mr. Smith received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Pratt Institute in New York City. He earned his master’s degree in special education and autistic studies from Southern Connecticut State University in 2010. He is a special education teacher and freelance photographer.

Mr. McCaslin was a member of Waterford High School Class of 1985 and received his diploma from New London High School. He is a 1989 graduate of the former New London Academy of Hairdressing and has been a hair stylist at Hair Unique II in Mystic for 18 years.

A reception followed at the O’Neill Center’s Rose Barn.
