Mystic VFW to again host Memorial Day parade

Mystic — The Hugo A. Simonelli Post 3263, Veterans of Foreign Wars will again sponsor the Mystic Memorial Day Parade on May 30.

Vietnam War veteran Sgt. Craig Floyd will be the Parade Marshal.

All units are requested to be at their assmbly points on Water, Pearl and Gravel streets by 1 p.m. The parade will step off at 2 p.m. due to the bridge schedule and proceed on Route 1 to the VFW post home across from Brustolon car dealership. No candy or goods may be thrown for safety reasons.

A memorial service will be held folowing the parade. Food and beverages will be available after the service. Parking will be in the rear parking areas behind the post home.
