New TV series features Race Rock Lighthouse

New London’s Race Rock Lighthouse will be featured in National Geographic Channel’s new series, “The Watch,” premiering tonight at 10 p.m.

Race Rock Lighthouse, acquired by New London Maritime Society in 2013, is one of four locations used in the series. Filming was done last August.

Over the course of “The Watch’s” four, one-hour episodes, the lives of four people — Cheetoh, Bill, Dave, and Brooks — who live in separate remote locations unfold on camera. Brooks is filmed as she refurbishes and restores Rack Rock Lighthouse.
