Locally filmed thriller hits Lifetime Movie Network on Sunday

"Fatal Obsession," which was filmed in southeastern Connecticut in January of 2014, will air on the Lifetime Movie Network at 8 p.m. Sunday, with other showings to follow. This thriller stars Eric Roberts and Tracy Nelson. Nelson plays a mother named Christie who, with her teenaged daughter (played by Remington Moses, Nelson's real-life daughter), flee from Christie's abusive husband (Eric Roberts). The husband, though, undergoes plastic surgery, becomes unrecognizable (played by David Winning) — and tracks down Christie and her daughter.

The local sites where filming took place include Yantic Falls in Norwich, the Mystic & Noank Library in Mystic, and the former Chacers Bar and Grill in Norwich.

"A Fatal Obsession" was directed by James Camali, with a script written by George P. Saunders. Richard Switzer, a 2013 Robert E. Fitch High School graduate, is producer on the film.
