Grafton, Mass. — Officials say a hot air balloon landed in a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority parking lot, damaging at least two parked cars.
Transit police say the balloon planned to land in a nearby field in Grafton, when a strong gust of wind knocked it off course at around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the balloon then made a hard landing in the lot. There were seven people aboard.
Fire officials say there were no injuries and no rescue was required.
An MBTA Police spokesman says the incident is under investigation.
