Westerly — A Montville man faces several charges following a one-car rollover crash along Route 78 on Friday night that sent two of the vehicle's passengers to the hospital.

Leonidas Kontogouris, 32, of Montville was charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license, refusal to submit to a chemical test, carrying a pistol without a permit, driving while intoxicated and carrying a weapon while intoxicated.

Kontogouris was arraigned in court Saturday morning.

The two passengers, who police said were from Connecticut but could not confirm specifically where, were flown by a helicopter to the hospital.

Westerly police confirmed their injuries were not life-threatening, but no further update on their condition or whether they remained in hospital was available Saturday evening.

Police said the car Kontogouris was driving was totaled.
