Norwich police arrest alleged cocaine traffickers

Norwich — Police arrested two people Tuesday who they say were "large cocaine" traffickers in the city and surrounding areas.

William Chastain, 32, and Emily Jurzynski, 28, both of Beacon Falls, were each charged with possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to sell.

Chastain was also charged with resisting arrest.

Police said this summer the Narcotics Unit began a narcotic-related investigation into a large-scale cocaine trafficker in the area.

Police said as a result of the investigation Chastain and Jurzynski were arrested.

The pair were found in possession of 63 grams of powder cocaine. Police also seized $400 and a 1999 Ford Mustang.

Chastain was being held on a $100,000 bond, pending his arraignment today in Norwich Superior Court.

Jurzynski was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 10.
