East Lyme police investigating beached boat

Police are investigating what led a boat to be beached and abandoned on Crescent Beach in Niantic late Saturday afternoon.
A spokesman for state police at the Troop E barracks in Montville confirmed that East Lyme police were following up on the incident.
No further information was available Saturday night.
