Troopers in North Stonington investigating series of burglaries

North Stonington — Resident state troopers are asking residents to be especially vigilant after a series of burglaries in the past two weeks.

According to the troopers, the perpetrators of the burglaries — which have occurred on Mains Crossing, Putker, Northwest Corner and Cossaduck Hill roads — all have forced their way into the residences during daytime hours.

Troopers said the offenders primarily have taken jewelry, money, electronics and clothing.

The troopers are asking residents to lock their doors and windows, leave lights on and report any suspicious activity by calling (860) 535-1451.
