Two are administered Narcan in suspected overdoses
Police administered Narcan in two possible heroin overdoses in the region Thursday night and Friday.
The first happened around 11:46 p.m. Thursday, when a call came in for a potential overdose at 30 Denison Ave.
A male victim received Narcan, and was later reported to be conscious when he was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, New London police said.
About 5:44 p.m. Friday, Groton Town Police, Poquetanuck Bridge Ambulance and paramedics from Lawrence + Memorial Hospital responded to a suspected overdose at a business on Gold Star Memorial Highway.
Narcan was administered to a 34-year old male victim, who was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. He was expected to survive, said Lt. John Varone, Detective Commander for Groton Town Police.
