    Teenage boy critically injured after falling from the back of pickup truck in Lisbon

    Lisbon — Police said a teenager was flown by LifeStar helicopter to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center Sunday, after he fell from the back of a pickup truck and was then struck by the truck as it backed into a driveway. Police said he is in critical condition.

    According to the police report, the truck was backing into a driveway on Phillips Road around 2:48 p.m. Sunday, while the 15-year-old boy was in the bed of the truck with the tailgate down. He fell from the back of the truck and was then struck by the vehicle backing into the driveway.

    He was driven in the vehicle to Backus Hospital and then transported by LifeStar helicopter to Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.

    Police said that 19-year-old Damian J. Nadeau of 99 Elm St., Willimantic, was driving the truck.

    State police ask anyone with information on the incident to call the Montville barracks at (860) 848-6500.
