    32-year-old New London man victim of fatal Hampton crash

    Hampton — The man who died after crashing into a house here Tuesday afternoon was a 32-year-old from New London, according to state police.

    Patrick C. Dunn of 357 Bank St. is the deceased.

    According to police, Dunn was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado east on state Route 6 when he drove off the right shoulder and into the house at 465 Route 6. The crash happened just after 12:30 p.m.

    Aware the injuries were serious and possibly fatal, first responders initially requested a Life Star helicopter, but Dunn died on scene from his injuries.

    According to the accident report, Asplundh Tree Expert Co. owned the Silverado. The affected home sustained a large hole in its foundation because of the crash. There were no passengers in the truck.

    The wreck remains under investigation.
