Preston — State police have arrested two Ledyard men in connection with a March 2017 burglary.

Frank Ishod Kelly, 23, of 959 Shewville Road and Jordan Xavier Lacey, 21, of 12 White Pine Road were charged on warrants Tuesday in the incident.

According to police, troopers went to 15 Lake of Isles Road the evening of March 28. There a victim reported one firearm had been taken from the home. Police later determined three firearms were missing.

According to an incident summary, the homeowner that day had left the residence to hang out with Kelly. Kelly distracted the homeowner specifically so Lacey could enter the home and take the firearms, according to the summary.

Kelly’s charges include conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, three counts of conspiracy to commit theft of a firearm, criminal attempt to commit criminal possession of a firearm and failure to comply with fingerprinting requirements.

Lacey was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny and three counts of theft of a firearm.

According to Ledyard police, Lacey and Kelly also were together in May last year, when Lacey led officers on a chase that damaged two cruisers and two other vehicles. Lacey is facing a host of charges in that incident. Kelly later was charged in connection with a stolen firearm found inside the offending vehicle.

Kelly, who has several pending criminal cases and a lengthy list of convictions, has been in state custody since Ledyard police arrested him Aug. 30. He was due to appear Wednesday in New London Superior Court.

Lacey had been out on bond until his Tuesday arrest, when he was given a new bond of $25,000. It’s unclear if he was held on that bond or released after posting it. Records list his next court appearance as Jan. 31.
