State trooper charged with DUI is suspended

A state trooper with the Troop E barracks in Montville, who was charged Sunday in Norwich with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, has been suspended "until further notice," state police said.
Sarah Starkey, 34, of 310 Boston Post Road, Waterford, also was charged with failure to drive right and unsafe movement.
Trooper Starkey has been with the department since 2013, according to the State Police Public Information Office.
