The Fab Four tribute group plays the Garde Friday

    www.thefabfour.com

The Beatles tribute group playing the Garde Arts Center on Friday is The Fab Four, not to be confused with the Fab Faux (another Beatles-honoring group, this one with a pretty clever moniker).

The Fab Four go all out in trying to craft a show that will make you think you are at a real Beatles concert. They run through John, Paul, George and Ringo’s ever-shifting look and sound, so you’ll see costume and hair changes and songs from every era of the band’s career.

The performances are meant to be “note-for-note live renditions of Beatles’ classics,” so expect a great deal of fidelity. The tunes, meanwhile, will be all the classics, from “Twist and Shout” to “Hey Jude” to “A Day in the Life.”

The Fab Four has performed around the world and nabbed an Emmy in 2013 for the PBS special “The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute.”

The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute, 8 p.m. Friday, Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London; $35-$55; (860) 444-7373, ext. 1, www.gardearts.org.
