Groton — Jacob Johnson, a maintenance worker for the Groton Building Maintenance Facilities, and Jerry Lokken, manager of the Groton Recreation Services, raised the Pride flag during a ceremony held by the Groton Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee on Thursday at Groton Town Hall in support of Pride Month and the LGBTQ community.
Jessica Patterson, community outreach coordinator for Groton parks, said, “This is one of our first steps, with many more to follow, in making Groton a more inclusive and equitable community."
