UCP of Eastern Connecticut to celebrate World Cerebral Palsy Day
Groton — United Cerebral Palsy of Eastern Connecticut will celebrate World Cerebral Palsy Day Sept. 4 with a fitness challenge at Pequonnock Plains Park for those with cerebral palsy.
Starting at 10:15 a.m., participants working in teams of four will climb a virtual mountain, tracking their steps with a pedometer. Other physical activity challenges such as bowling, pilates and moving in a wheelchair, will also be included in the event. The fitness challenge events will continue throughout the month.
