Anyone who saw author David Sedaris read and speak in April 2018 at the Garde Arts Center in New London won’t need convincing on this. The rest of you, though: Head to New Haven to see Sedaris when he appears Sunday at the Shubert. He is simply hilarious — wildly inventive, with a deliciously dry delivery. He usually reads some essays that he has already published plus plenty he is still working on; for the latter, he makes notations with a pen on the manuscript of what worked when read to a crowd and what might need tweaking. Tickets are $53 and $63.
