    Sun play at Liberty tonight

The Connecticut Sun's postseason chances are all but over.

Connecticut is last in the Eastern Conference and must beat the New York Liberty tonight at Madison Square Garden to stay in the playoff race (CPTV Sports, 7:30). And even that may not be enough.

The Sun (11-19) are 2 1-2 games behind the third-place Indiana Fever and two games behind the Chicago Sky and New York, which are tied for fourth place. They have just four games left. Their odds are hurt by the fact that the Liberty (12-16) have six games remaining and the Fever five.

Connecticut has lost 13 of its last 16 games.

New York has won eight of its last 13 with former Sun center Tina Charles leading the way. July's Eastern Conference Player of the Month has averaged 18.1 points and 9.8 rebounds.

Sun rookie Chiney Ogwumike will be a game-time decision after having fluid drained from an abscessed tooth on Tuesday. She leads the team in points and rebounds.
