Chief Ackley entitled to her time off

While reading the article, “New London police chief has spent 1/3 of workdays off since returning to her post,” (Oct. 2), it was easy to see through the likes of Todd Lynch and former Mayor Finizio. Chief Ackley has as much right to her time off as anyone else, maybe more. Former Mayor Finizio and the current Union President Todd Lynch have treated Ackley in a way that would have forced anyone else out of the position long ago.

By Lynch suggesting that the chief should just move on because she wants to use the time coming to her is ridiculous. If anyone should move on, it should be Todd Lynch. We all know about the skeletons in his closet, along with his personal vendetta towards Ackley. If Lynch was made of half the stock as Margret Ackley is, he would be a lucky man. Take your time off chief, and only leave the job on your terms, not Lynch’s or any of them other haters.
