With reference to the letter, “Theatre of the Deaf deserves a reference,” (Aug. 15), inquiring about inclusion of the National Theater of the Deaf in the O’Neill Theater exhibition currently at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum. I can assure the writer that the important contributions made by the National Theater of the Deaf are indeed represented in the show. As can be imagined, however, there is simply so much history to cover in a 50th anniversary retrospective on the O’Neill that not everything can make it to print.
I urge the writer to come see this wonderful exhibition, which will be open through Jan. 3.
