The outdoor ceremony took place at the clubhouse in El Canto Park, Phoenix, Ariz., on Feb. 16, 2014. Landi Smith, Justice of the Peace and friend of the bride, officiated at the ceremony. Deirdre Moore, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Ayman Jasam, cousin of the groom, served as best man.

A joyous reception followed the ceremony.

An East Coast garden reception for family and friends unable to attend the February event was held on July 12, at the home of the bride's parents.

Aileen is a graduate of St. Bernard High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Pace University and her master's degree from Hunter College, both in New York City. Aileen is currently employed by Catholic Charities as senior program manager for Unaccompanied Minors.
