    New London police seize 10.9 grams of cocaine and more at a Green Street apartment

    New London ― Police arrested a 24-year-old man Friday morning after seizing crack cocaine, suspected fentanyl and more at 28 Green St.

    Members of New London police and the CT Violent Crime Task Force entered the home at 10 a.m. and arrested Yaseen Dannett with a warrant for the sale of narcotics, according to a news release.

    During the search, police seized 10.9 grams of crack cocaine, 4.4 grams of suspected fentanyl, 0.6 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, 2.4 ounces of marijuana, 67 assorted THC edible candy packets, a Ruger LC9s 9mm handgun, 39 9mm rounds of ammunition, $953 in U.S. currency and a 2015 Hyundai Sonata.

    Dannett was taken into custody and charged with several narcotics and firearms charges.
