Hollywood Vampires supergroup plays Foxwoods Sunday

Are they a supergroup of teetotalers or a teetotaling supergroup? Or both?

The Hollywood Vampires, a band featuring Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp along with touring dudes from Guns 'N Roses, Stone Temple Pilots and Warlock, formed in 2015 as a cautionary tribute to rockers who've lost the battle with alcoholism. Indeed, the original "Hollywood Vampires" was a drinking club formed by Cooper that included John Lennon, Keith Moon and Ringo Starr.

The HV band released and toured behind an album of cover tunes in 2015 — again, with the loose theme of the damages wrought of alcoholism — and are back on the road. They'll play Sunday in the Grand Theater at Foxwoods. Despite the heavy message behind the project, you can rely on the fact that this show will be big fun and rock in the manner you'd expect from such major players.

The Hollywood Vampires, 7 p.m. Sunday, Foxwoods' Grand Theater; $85-$175; 1-800-200-2882.
