Ivoryton Playhouse offers 'A Christmas Survival Guide'

Ivorytown Playhouse presents Christmas Survival Guide (Contributed)

The Ivoryton Playhouse is back in the Christmas swing of things!

After being closed last December as part of the year-plus-long shuttering due to the pandemic, the playhouse is staging a very merry holiday comedy, “A Christmas Survival Guide.” The show opens Thursday, and characters sing and perform vignettes about trying to get past all the hubbub and to the core of what Christmas should be about. The songs, by the way, are traditional holiday numbers but with a modern flair.

“A Christmas Survival Guide” is written by James Hindman and Ray Roderick.

“A Christmas Survival Guide,” Ivoryton Playhouse, 103 Main St., Ivoryton; opens Thursday and runs through Dec. 19; 2 and 7:30 p.m. Wed., 7:30 p.m. Thurs., 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat., and 2 p.m. Sun.; $55 for adults, $50 for seniors, $25 for students; (860) 767-7318, ivorytonplayhouse.org.
