This is the busy season for Celtic Thunder.

As the saying goes, everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. A corollary to that adage: Everyone wants to hear Irish music around St. Patrick’s Day.

But the Celtic Thunder ensemble is a major force all year round. Billboard once named it Top World Music Artist and said it had the Top World Album in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2015.

The show coming to Mohegan Sun on Friday is “Celtic Thunder IRELAND” (yes, with IRELAND in all caps, in case you thought the emphasis was going to be instead on, oh, Sweden). The setlist will scamper from “The Galway Girl” to “Danny Boy,” from “A Place in the Choir” to “She Moved through the Fair.”

If this musical and theatrical event doesn’t get you into the mood for St. Patrick’s Day, nothing will.
