Wall Hanging, $899

I actually thought this was a rug, but turns out, it's a wall hanging. At nearly 5 feet tall by 6 1/2 feet long, the patchwork design has five huge multi-colored tulips set on a rusty orange background, and the bright green stems make for a dramatic contrast. It would definitely be the showpiece of any room. The longer I looked at it, the more it made me smile.

Journal, $14.95

Earlier this year, a friend gave me a beautiful sky blue journal to jot my thoughts down in. I've yet to crack it open, but if I wanted to return the favor, this would be the way. This 144-page journal is covered in emerald French silk. It has a woven gold pattern with red and gold jewels sprinkled throughout. The archival paper is acid-free, so all of your most precious memories can be preserved for eternity.

Clutch, $32

I've found my Christmas gift. This rectangular purse is striped in black, turquoise and green, with very thin pieces of white tossed in for good measure. The front has a silver cut-out, giving the clutch more pizzazz but not going over the top. And tucked inside is a thin silver chain, just in case you want to go traditional and wear it over your shoulder.

Lamp, $58.99

Handmade in Indonesia of recycled glass, this 12-inch tall lamp is held together with bailing wire. Although it doesn't have an on/off switch (Why, I don't know), the best part about it may be the shipping price. Drum roll, please ... ONE DOLLAR. That's right, people, four quarters, 10 dimes. You get the picture. Of course, if you want your package expedited, say next day or two-day shipping, there's an additional fee. But standard shipping will only cost you the price of a small fry.
