UConn junior defensive end Marcus Campbell has been suspended for an indefinite period of time due to a violation of team policies.
Campbell, who was going to start for the Huskies before tearing his right ACL during the first training camp scrimmage in August, sat out last season with academic issues.
The 6-foot-3 inch, 233-pound Bloomfield native played in 11 games as a reserve and on special teams in 2008. He had two tackles and a sack in the Huskies' 38-20 win over Buffalo in the International Bowl in January of that season.
The university will have no further comment on the matter.
