Montville — Police are investigating the robbery of a convenience store on Old Colchester Road this morning.

The robbery happened shortly after 6 a.m. at the Country Market Place.

Lt. J. Paul Vance, a state police spokesman, said two suspects wearing masks entered the store. The suspects implied they had a weapon, but none was shown. The men took off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Vance said both suspects are described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall. One was wearing a black hoodie with white stripes on the sleeve and blue jeans.

The scene was secured and the area was searched with the assistance of a canine. The state police Major Crime Squad detectives processed the crime scene.

The suspects fled on foot through the Oakdale Country Plaza. No injuries were reported, Vance said.
