    UConn's Wolf sidelined with concussion

UConn center Enosch Wolf is sidelined indefinitely after suffering a concussion in practice Friday.

"He took a real good shot to the head," coach Kevin Ollie said Wednesday. "Hopefully he gets back soon because that's the one area where we don't have depth is our frontcourt."

Even with Wolf, the Huskies are thin in the frontcourt. They have only two other players over 6-foot-8 on the roster in junior Tyler Olander and freshman Phillip Nolan, two 6-9 forwards.

Wolf, a 7-1 junior, recently tweeted about his injury: "Hate concussions! Especially 3 in 10 months. I just wanna put that UConn jersey on and play ball!!!"

Wolf had two concussions last season, including one before the Big East tournament in March that sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Ollie is taking a cautious approach. He is optimistic that Wolf, a German native, will make the season-opening trip to Germany where UConn will play Michigan State at Ramstein Air Base on Nov. 9.

"He's going to be ready for Germany," Ollie said. "We're just taking our time. We don't want him to get another concussion. We don't want to bring him back and then cause him to miss that trip."
