Ledyard - A Westerly man faces drunken driving charges after state police said he traveled the wrong way onto a Route 2 on-ramp and collided with another vehicle.

The crash occurred at 7:55 p.m. Thursday when police said Ciro Durante of Westerly traveled the wrong direction onto the Route 2 on-ramp from Mashantucket Boulevard. Police said he struck a vehicle driven by Joseph Donaher, 48, of Wareham, Mass.

No injuries were reported.

State police charged Durante with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain minimum insurance and traveling the wrong way on a one-way road.
