Attendees glance at a photograph of the late Robert "First in Line" Tetreault, as members of the St. Vincent de Paul Place in Norwich community hold a memorial service Tuesday for Tetreault, a veteran, who died last week after turning 70 on Christmas. About 40 people attended the ceremony, led by Deacon Peter Gill of Middlefield, who is also a part-time chef at the facility. Tetreault was a homeless man who preferred to live outside. Recently he was provided with an apartment, but died a month later.
