    Woman arrested in Norwich police investigation of crack cocaine sales

    Police charged Kristina M. Gencarelli, 23, of no certain address, with possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to sell.

    Norwich — A police investigation into city crack cocaine sales culminated Wednesday morning with the arrest of a 23-year-old woman accused of selling the drug.

    After the 10 a.m. arrest, police charged Kristina M. Gencarelli, 23, of no certain address with possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell.

    Police already held active arrest warrants for Gencarelli on charges of two counts of sale of crack cocaine.

    When arrested, police said Gencarelli was found in possession of more than 8 grams of crack cocaine and 2 grams of heroin pre-packaged for street-level sales.

    Gencarelli was held in lieu of a total $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear today in Norwich Superior Court.
