Parking ban: Due to an expected, significant snowfall, the city has enacted a parking ban beginning midnight and continuing until snow plows have ended plowing operations.

The ban specifies: No parking on any downtown streets; no parking on narrow streets; where parking is permitted on only one side of the street, follow posted regulations; where parking is permitted on both sides of the street, park on the even-numbered side for the entire winter season.

Police will tag and tow vehicles that are in violation of the ban. Residents may park for free in the Water Street Garage.

Cancellations: The Science and Technology Magnet High School's new student orientation, scheduled for tonight, has been postponed until March 13.
