    Waterford police to update public on Kyle Seidel murder case

    Waterford – Police have announced a press conference scheduled for next Tuesday regarding the murder of Kyle Seidel.

    Police Chief Murray Pendleton said this afternoon that police will provide information as to the current status of their investigation. He declined to comment further on the status of the case.

    Next Tuesday's press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Waterford Police Station and Seidel's wife Kate is expected to be in attendance. Members of the Waterford Police Union are also expected to give her $250 in gift cards.

    Just days before Christmas, Seidel, 34, was found lying in the parking lot of Waterford Family Bowl at 120 Boston Post Road. Three days later, the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the neck. He has three young children.

    Anyone who may have observed any activity in the area of Family Bowl between 7:50 p.m. and 8:20 p.m., or may have witnessed either Seidel or his black Ford Focus traveling on Boston Post Road, on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, is urged to call the Waterford Police Department at (860) 442-9451.
